It's our first wedding anniversary - yay! - so I thought I'd share some wedding photos NOT taken by me. The first two above are at the Wynn Las Vegas where we got married. Everything was just perfect, our wedding consultant Sunnie made the whole planning process a breeze, the Wynn photographers were outstanding, we had a great time with our families - I wouldn't change a thing!

And then I thought it would be fun to get to wear my wedding dress again so we had a big party in December at Atkinson Resort & Country Club back in NH. We had a ton of fun with friends, a phenomenal wedding band Shine, great food (Nicolette & Rachel at Atkinson were so great to work with) and to top it all off, another AMAZING photographer, Dan Doke. Dan is just a genius photographer - he is so friendly and fun (and he's photographed Presidential Inaugural balls!) and had everyone laughing for great photographs. Dan convinced us to head outside in the freezing cold and it was worth it for the stunning picture he took above.
And then I thought it would be fun to get to wear my wedding dress again so we had a big party in December at Atkinson Resort & Country Club back in NH. Some of my friends thought it was crazy to have 2 photographers (one for Vegas, one for the part at Atkinson) but I would totally do it the same again - after the martini ice bar had melted, the music had stopped playing, the candles had burnt down - we have all of these beautiful photographs to remember everything for the rest of our lives....

My favourite photography moments happen when I come home from a shoot, download the files from my numerous memory cards and find an image just like the one below.
I was shooting the bride & bridesmaids getting ready - they were a stunning group of girls! Lots of fun with the music playing, champagne being poured, professional hair and make-up crew working away. We were even using the large LCD screen on the back of my camera to reassure the bride that her makeup would photograph well.
In the middle of all of the fun and excitement, I caught this picture of the maid of honor; she's looking at the bride - her sister - with tears in her eyes. A little moment in time...

It was a little chilly this morning - brrrrrr - but the rain stopped for just long enough for a fun family photoshoot in the beautiful Larz Anderson park
Family members from Pennsylvania, New York and of course Boston humored me and happily played peek-a-boo behind the columns!

I photographed Brett & Maria's wedding 3 weeks ago and just finished processing all of their images - here's one of my favorites.
Maria looked simply stunning and Brett looked pretty good in his tux too! I had so much fun getting to know them as a couple during their engagement shoot and it was an honor to shoot their wedding. Brett just launched his new website - it was cool to work with another "creative" type!. I'm looking forward to helping them select their favorite images and custom designing their album. Congratulations Mr & Mrs G!

Halloween cuties

I grew up in the UK where Halloween isn't that big a deal...so I just LOVE Halloween in the US! Last night was a balmy (for NH!) fall night, we dragged the rocking chairs off the porch and enjoyed all the trick-or-treaters in their costumes. I like the little ones that can barely walk the best - this cute little fairy above was from a shoot a couple of weeks ago.

A favorite from last week's wedding...
Last weekend I worked with Jennifer, who is a brilliant photographer (www.aphroditeweddingphotos.com) to shoot an amazing wedding in Meredith, NH. Everything was perfect - a beautiful fall day, great couple, stunning location - the Inn at Mill Falls. I spent most of the ceremony up on the balcony and caught this shot which I love
Sometimes I miss living in Newburyport
We lived in Newburyport for about 3 years, I was back there for a shoot last Friday and it made me realise what a great town it is.
