Winter fun at the beach...

I'm in Chicago airport waiting for our connecting flight home to Boston but thanks to the wonders of wi-fi I thought I'd upload a favorite from a family beach session over Christmas. In the words of the fantastic "let it snow" song...the weather outside definitely was frightful...but Matthew & Daniel were delightful to photograph!

Catching up with my best friend...

I can't believe it's been 11 years since I graduated from university...on the other hand, spending the afternoon with an old friend makes it seem like only yesterday. Here's my friend Taanya with her husband and their two beautiful daughters

Lara was my new best friend for the afternoon. Although slightly depressing was our reminiscing over old photographs from school
- Who's that Lara? [pointing at Taanya]
- Mummy!!!
- Who's that Lara? [pointing at Leah]
- Don't know!!!
(have I really changed that much?)

Home for the Holidays.....

Back in the UK for Christmas! Very excited to leave the ice storms and snow of New England for power, heat and just a little rain in (old) England.
Took my camera out whilst Christmas shopping and snapped the image above of the top of the famous Royal Liver Building (find out more about the history of the building here). You can see the one of the pair of Liver birds looking out over the city - rumour has it that should either of the birds fly away, the city of Liverpool would cease to exist, hence the chains. Anyway, enough history for the day, I'm off to shoot a family at the beach, more later

The loveliest family....

love~li~est
adjective
1. Full of love; loving
2. Inspiring love or affection
3. Having beauty that appeals to the emotions as well as the eye
4. Enjoyable; delightful

I was trying to find a word that described the family I shot at the weekend and I think this might just be it. Not only were the whole family including Mom & Dad super-photogenic, they were also a ton of fun. The three kids were a hoot - planning their own shots and just hanging out with me, lying on the floor, laughing. Here's a couple of favorites...

Can I just say how I am loving that corkscrew of a curl at the top of her little head!

This one's for Kristina...

Timberland High School cafeteria must have been the most glamorous place in Plaistow, NH last night with the Junior Semi-formal. Stunning outfits on the girls and the guys cleaned up well too!
