Mini Engagement Session in Newburyport, MA :: Stefanie + Jason

Good morning! It's going to be a busy blogging day today. First up is Stefanie & Jason's mini engagement shoot in Newburyport, MA and then I have a family shoot with one of my 2009 couples for you to enjoy and then back to Eunis & Jeff's wedding at the Fairmont Copley Plaza in Boston.

So Stefanie & Jason first met each other in Home Depot. I have this urge to say something funny about "More Saving, More Doing" but my mind is blank ;) They were both working there and even though Stefanie was there only in the holidays from school they got to be friends going out for lunch and hanging out.

Then they started dating and everything was going swimmingly but there was a silly misunderstanding, Stefanie went back to school again and these two didn't talk for a while :(

Stefanie then returned to Home Depot and in a weird twist of fate Jason intercepted some young scoundrels from stealing the tires off her car in the parking lot! They had to talk after that incident and they figured everything out! Hoorah! I for one am very glad they did :)

We popped into a bookstore and after some pictures with books about interior decorating and cars, we found this one called "The Marriage plot" which seemed appropriate:

This was the first time I'd met Jason as he'd been stuck in work the night I met Stefanie (who incidentally was referred to me by the fabulous Katie who was a bridesmaid in Jeff & Diana's wedding in April - thank you Katie!). Anyhoo, Jason was a very good sport about all of the picture taking:

Who doesn't like to make out in a random alleyway?

Stefanie and Jason have now been together for a number of years and everytime they talked about getting married there was always something else they both wanted to do first. Seems pretty smart to me. Hence when they get married at Danver's Yacht Club next July they already live in their dream house that they built together with the staircase upgrade that Stefanie couldn't resist ;)

I'm somewhat of a stickler for engagement shoots and make at least a mini session somewhat mandatory, it's nice to meet up before the wedding, take some relaxed pictures and then everyone's a lot more comfortable on the wedding day:

A few last pictures with giggles and kisses:

Thank you Stefanie & Jason!!! I hope you had fun too! Looking forward to your July 2012 wedding!!!
