Bedford Village Inn Wedding Photographer :: George + Cheryl

Oh where to start with these two....George and Cheryl are one of the nicest couples I've had the pleasure to meet. It's always an honor to be trusted with documenting a wedding but somehow even more so when the groom is a photographer himself!

George and Cheryl had a wonderfully intimate wedding with their closest friends and family. There may not have been some of the usual wedding activities - dancing, bouquet tossing, etc but there was an abundance of happy family members and friends, really touching toasts and so much love between George and Cheryl!

The weather was just perfect at the beginning of the day - note my use of the word "beginning"...

Cheryl and George got ready at their home together and I photographed the details on their deck:

Alyssa of Apotheca Flower Shoppe did all of the flowers for the wedding - beautiful!

Jessica of GMD did hair and make up and Cheryl's sisters helped her get dressed and put on her jewelry:

So we didn't do an official "first look" - George was in and out of the room where Cheryl was getting ready looking for an iron and his shirt - but I love this pictures I caught when he saw Cheryl in her wedding dress:

Thanks to some clever timeline planning (blog post coming up on planning your day VERY soon...) we found ourselves with a little time before we needed to head to church for the ceremony so we went out into the garden for some wedding party pictures. This proved to be a smart move as the heavens opened and the rest of the day consisted of torrential rain! Love Cheryl's laugh in this one :)

We hopped into the limo to head to the ceremony - one of my favorite pictures of the day. Cheryl is beautiful. George is happy.

We arrived at St Matthew's Episcopal Church in Goffstown, NH and the rain was SO bad that George and Cheryl couldn't even make it across the little walk from the church office - so we all just hung out. Rev. William Exner conducted the most wonderful ceremony with lots of comments how it was about time that these two got married!

Yay married!!! Plans for family pictures outside were shelved due to the rain so we took some relaxed family pictures in church. Love the picture of George with grandson Joseph:

On arrival at the Bedford Village Inn the rain stopped for maybe 20 minutes so we took full advantage! Who says your first dance as a married couple has to be on a dancefloor?

The wedding reception was the perfect mix of delicious food, good conversation, happy friends and family, thoughtful toasts - good times indeed!

It was a fairly humid August day but George and Cheryl took a little time outside together before returning to talk and celebrate with their guests:

And then they lived happily ever after. The End

George & Cheryl - thank you for trusting me with your wedding pictures!!! I enjoyed working with you both SO much and I sincerely hope you stay in touch!!! Thank you for the hand made chocolates and for naming your cat after me. Kidding. Here is Leah the cat. Not Leah the photographer:
