NYC DUMBO Engagement Pictures :: Katherine + Greg

You might be expecting these engagement pictures in NYC to include acute little elephant with giant ears in this blog post. You will be disappointed is that's the case. No elephants, just two happy people. For those of you who don't know, DUMBO is an acronym for Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass and a neighborhood in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. And that was where I met up with Katherine and Greg a couple of weeks ago on possibly the hottest most humid day known to mankind.

Katherine and Greg are getting married at the Boston Public Library next year but they live in New York and decided they'd like their engagement pictures to take place in the area they live. This was my first time to Brooklyn and we had tons of awesome places to shoot in and around. I loved the pop of Katherine's red dress against this turquoise wall:

Katherine and Greg initially worked at the same company but they were both dating other people so they were just friends. A number of years later they were no longer working together and no longer dating other people and Greg reached out to Katherine. That was 2 years ago and now they're getting married!

We were talking about the first dance and dance lessons but I don't think they need them :)

It was easy to photograph Katherine and Greg - lots of smiles and laughter:

I was flying back to Boston immediately after the shoot and so we went back to Katherine & Greg's home to collect my bags. I couldn't resist this window:
