Let's depart Boston and head north to Maine. The way life should be. Although Stephanie and Jason will be married next month in the city they decided to do relaxed engagement pictures in Maine where Jason's family have a vacation home. After an ice cream on this rather hot and humid summer day, we started in Bridgton. I love a good covered bridge.
A family friend who knew both Jason and Stephanie had a feeling that they'd be perfect for one another and convinced them that it would be a great idea for emails to be exchanged.
Jason was just about to head overseas for a couple of months for work (he's an ER doctor) and didn't want to contact Stephanie knowing it would be a while before they could meet up.
In the meantime Stephanie was so busy at work (she's a co-founder, CEO and editor-in-chief of Her Campus Media) that she completely forgot about Jason.
Jason didn't forget about Stephanie and as soon as he returned to the US he immediately emailed her. Fabulous conversation and a spark happened over dinner at Papagayo and a relationship followed.
Fast forward to another dinner at Papagayo. Flowers and champagne. And the exact same table where they'd had their first date. Jason asked Stephanie to marry him and Stephanie said yes.
Stephanie and Jason hung out on the dock at his family's home in Denmark, Maine and Stephanie braved the spiders and giant mosquitos for these pictures :)
Their wedding is next month at the Boston Harbor Hotel with some of the most talented wedding industry colleagues and friends - Long Haul Films, Dani Wagener, Tangorra Wedding Planning and more - and I can't wait!
