I have pictures of a wonderful intimate wedding at Saint Ann's Episcopal Church in Kennebunkport, Maine and the White Barn Inn in Kennebunk, Maine for your viewing delight today! My day started with a stop at Cape Arundel Golf Club where Neil and the guys were enjoying a round of golf:
After the golfing detour I made my way over to the White Barn Inn to find Rachel and the girls:

Rachel and Neil decided on a small wedding for their immediate families. They planned a whole weekend of fabulous dinners and picnics on the beach. Whilst Neil and the guys played golf, Rachel had thoughtfully arranged for champagne, manicures, hair and make up for the ladies!

Meanwhile the younger kids were having a blast collecting crabshells, playing lacrosse, skimming stones and catching up on the latest World Cup scores. Here's Rachel's son Jesse with his crab leg find (thanks to Audrey for these pictures!):

Rachel and Neil wanted a very relaxed feel to their day so they chose to have their families join them for pre-ceremony cocktails and delicious appetizers from the White Barn Inn. First of all it was time for them to see one another. I can't decide which I love more, Neil's reaction seeing Rachel in her wedding dress or the happy smiles of Stella and Samantha:

At cocktail hour Rachel and Neil had arranged for the amazingly talented acoustic guitar duo Tu Beatles to play their favorite Beatles songs. Rachel and Neil alternated between talking and laughing with their guests and dancing in a world of their own:
A horse and carriage arrived to transport Rachel and Neil the short distance to St Ann's and Stella quickly made friends
The driver kindly offered to let me ride up front with him so I could take these images on the way:
Once we arrived at Saint Ann's Samantha helped Jesse out with his boutonniere:
It was very important to Rachel and Neil that the ceremony celebrated their families in a meaningful way. I loved how Samantha and William walked Neil down the aisle and then Jesse and Stella walked with Rachel:

Jesse and his cousins did an excellent reading of "All I Ever Really Needed To Know I learned in Kindergarten" and then Stella read from the Song of Soloman:
To my knowledge St Ann's Church in Kennebunkport is the only outdoor wedding chapel overlooking the ocean in Maine. It's such a stunning location for a wedding ceremony. The ceremony was not only visually beautiful but also got quite emotional:
After vows and rings were exchanged, everyone had a little sing-a-long to Ob-la-di, Ob-la-da:

Dinner was enjoyed in the private wine cellar of the Wine Barn Inn.
Samantha and Andrea made toasts to Rachel & Neil and I left everyone to eat the most amazing food in peace!
