Abenaqui Country Club Wedding Pictures :: Rye, NH :: Nicole + Matt

Happy Friday! Do you have lovely weekend plans? The weather isn't looking so great which makes me sad - I'm not ready for the snow and cold of winter! Although I am excited about my new Tory Burch boots. But enough of my rambling, let's get to Nicole & Matt's nautical-themed wedding at Abenaqui Country Club in Rye, NH.

Beautiful wedding stationery by Maine-ly New Hampshire in Portsmouth, NH

You might be wondering where the wedding rings are in this picture...

...they were resting on Nicole's rather beautiful and sparkly Jimmy Choos!

The always amazing Joanne of Joya Beauty and Lena of Hair That Moves were working their hair and airbrush make up magic on all of the ladies:

If Nicole forgot where she was at any moment she only had to look down at her shirt sleeves for a reminder ;)

The ladies boarded Seacoast Trolley for the short ride from the Sheraton in Portsmouth, NH to Abenaqui Country Club in Rye, NH.

Meanwhile Audrey was photographing Matt and the guys:

Nicole was helped into her Hayley Paige wedding dress (from Bridal Garden in East Greenwich, RI) by her MOHs Megan and Christina and MOB Andrea:

Nicole and Matt wanted to enjoy their first hour as newlyweds with their closest friends and family at cocktail hour vs. standing still for formal pictures so they chose to do a first look and take all of the pictures before the ceremony. Love, love, love their happy reactions to seeing each other!

We then took some pictures with the beautiful grounds as our backdrop. The weather forecast had been rain/sun/cloud/rain - all over the place in the run up to the wedding and we totally lucked out. The uncertainty about the weather also meant we didn't have to dodge too many golfers on the course!

We were joined by Nicole & Matt's wedding party:

Before being pleasantly interrupted by flower girls Summer & Sydney who were very excited to hug Nicole:

We then took relaxed family pictures. When you're having an outdoor ceremony you don't know if you'll be a little hot or windswept by the end! The great thing about doing a first look is that everyone looks fresh with perfect hair and make up in the formal pictures, not to mention that you get to drink champagne and enjoy hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour!

And with that, it was time for Nicole & Matt to get married!

Cutest flowergirls and ringbearer! And a few "wedding crasher/golfers" who wanted to watch the ceremony in the background!

Nicole walked down the aisle with her proud father Nick, I love how excited she looks here! The ceremony was AMAZINGLY conducted by Nicole's cousin Greg so it was super personal and quite a lot of people had to dig for their tissues and handkerchiefs:

Married! Whilst guests made their way to cocktail hour Nicole and Matt decided that we should take 5 minutes to drive down to the rocks overlooking the ocean for a few pictures (thanks to Andrea for her speedy driving skills!)

Back at Abenaqui, Audrey was hard at work photographing guests at cocktail hour:

Lobster trap for wedding cards!

Guests picked up their escort cards and make their way into the ballroom:

The new Mr & Mrs Lane were introduced and went straight into their first dance to Love Someone by Jason Mraz

Toasts were made by Nicole's father Nick, maid/matron's of honor Megan and Christina and Matt's brother and best man Chris:

Nicole danced with her father and Matt danced with his mother:

The rain held off so we snuck outside for a few minutes:

Nicole and Matt hired Clockwork as their wedding band. I seen Clockwork in action at least 4 or 5 times now and they're SO good! Band leader Ron and all of the singers and musicians had the dancefloor packed!

Nicole and Matt - how much fun was that? Thank you for choosing me as your Abenaqui Country Club wedding photographer, it's been such a pleasure working with you both! Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, health, happiness and long walks on the beach with Cooper the dog!
