Megan and Ryan both attended Notre Dame where they had lots of friends in common and spent a fair amount of time together. They also enjoyed more of each other's company when they studied together in London.
After graduating from school, Megan returned home to Boston and Ryan headed to his parent's house on the Cape.
Over the course of that summer they spent more and more time together. And with more and more time, the friendship turned into a relationship but the big question was what would happen after the summer as Ryan was headed to Chicago?
As luck would have it, Megan had a job offer from a hospital in Chicago!
One day, Ryan asked Megan to take a walk on the beach with him. Megan had an inkling that a proposal was imminent but she couldn't see any kind of ring box in Ryan's pockets so figured it was just a walk. Until Ryan got down on one knee!
This was one of my favorite pictures from the afternoon. Much as I love Boston, Chicago was so much fun as our backdrop, we had a park, a beach, a cityscape and downtown all within a short walk!
We stopped for a restorative beverage. Fun fact, Megan's parents used to occasionally visit this bar when they lived in Chicago!
