Harvard Club of Boston Wedding Photographer :: Ashley + Peter

Hello! Are you here because you'd like to look at some beautiful and elegant wedding pictures at the Harvard Club of Boston? Yes? Well, it's your lucky day. I just happen to have a wonderful Harvard Club wedding for you right now!

I started my day with Ashley and the girls at the Harvard Club where they were in the always excellent hands of Jennifer Tawa for hair and Tavi de la Rosa for make up. Ashley's sparkly Kate Spade shoes were the perfect setting for the wedding rings.

After being helped into her wedding dress by mom Susan and sister/MOH Sarah, Ashley's father Ed came in to see Ashley as a bride for the first time. He couldn't have looked happier or prouder!

Meanwhile next door at the Eliot Hotel, Audrey was photographing Peter and the guys as they helped each other out with the tying of the bowties:

Looking sharp gentlemen!

With sunset at 4:35pm and a 5:30pm wedding ceremony, Ashley and Peter wisely decided to see each other before the ceremony and take all of their wedding pictures in the daylight (shout out to Ashley's father Ed for organizing the photo permit for the public gardens - remember your permit if you're planning on taking pictures in the gardens!)

As Ashley made her way towards Peter she just about managed to hold in the tears, Peter couldn't hide his huge smile:

Happy almost-newlyweds!

We were joined by the wedding party and families to take all of the pictures just before the sun dropped below the horizon. This also meant that Ashley & Peter would be able to thoroughly enjoy cocktail hour with their closest friends and family after the wedding! Who wants to miss the champagne and hors d'oeuvres to stand in a line taking pictures?

Both families couldn't have been more welcoming, supportive or happier for Ashley & Peter.

We had just a few more minutes before it was time to head over to the ceremony so we made use of the last of the daylight (and the last of the fall foliage!):

The wedding ceremony was held at the historic Old South Meeting House in Boston. With zero parking in the area, Ashley & Peter had thoughtfully arranged for transportation to and from the venue. Ashley walked up the aisle with proud father Ed:

If your ceremony or reception venue incorporates a balcony you might want to talk to me about adding a third photographer to your coverage. Hugest thanks to the talented Lindsay for all of the images from the balcony both in Old South Meeting House and at the Harvard Club. How much do you love Ashley's L'Elite gown and cathedral length veil?

The ceremony was wonderfully conducted by Rabbi Susan Harris and Father Walter Cuenin to incorporate Ashley and Peter's faiths:

Married!!!

Once back at the Harvard Club, guests made their way up the grand double staircase in the Harvard Club to enjoy cocktail hour. A big hello and thanks to Jennifer Sepulveda and the Harvard Club team, always wonderful to work with!

The Harvard Club of Boston is such a historic wedding venue, the wood lined panels and chandeliers make it the perfect setting for an elegant Boston wedding. I always feel it has the tiniest little air of Hogwarts about it! Stunning centerpieces were by Les Fleurs in Andover, MA and the uplighting on the walls and pinlighting on the centerpieces was by SociaLight. It would also be remiss of me not to mention Michele Mottola and her fabulous team for all of their organization and involvement at the wedding!

The newlyweds entered the room and went into their first dance complete with a romantic dip for the finale (this image from outside the ballroom is Audrey's, all reception images from the balcony are Lindsay's).

As guests took their seats, there were wonderfully funny and emotional toasts by Ashley's parents Ed & Susan, MOH/sister Sarah and best man Pat:

Ashley danced with her father Ed:

And then Peter danced with his mother Pam:

Next up was cake cutting! It was such a delight to photograph Ashley and Peter throughout the whole day - they didn't stop smiling and laughing! It's always such a joy to see couples who truly relax and enjoy their own wedding!

We stepped outside for a minute for the cool night air and a few nighttime portraits:

Before heading back in for the hora! Nightshift Entertainment are one of the very, very, very best wedding bands in Boston. They book up years in advance and you have to hear their rendition of Hava Nagila to believe it!

Ashley and Peter made it down in one piece, the chairs were removed and the dancefloor was declared well and truly open!

Ashley & Peter - hoping you like this handful of favorite pictures! You've been an absolute joy to work with and I can't wait for you to see the rest of the pictures in your gallery! Thank you for choosing me as your Harvard Club Boston Wedding Photographer! Wishing you a long life of love, laughter, health and happiness together!
