Barn at Gibbet Hill Wedding Photographer :: Jillian + Brendan

It's a grey and rainy Saturday, I kept this weekend free to spend with Paul but his flight was delayed and he's not home for a few more hours :( So to make up for this wedding and for me missing my husband, I thought I'd post on a Saturday.

Get ready for one of the most beautiful weddings you might have ever seen....flowers off the chart, a wedding dress with the most delicate and full petaled skirt, Georgia peaches, chandeliers dripping with greenery and of course, Jillian & Brendan!

The wedding took place at The Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA. One of my very favorite New England wedding venues with the rolling hills, backdrops of tall trees and roaming cows, a beautiful rustic yet elegant barn and the most fabulous team to take care of you, not to mention the most delicious food.

Let's start with a few little wedding details including this perfect wedding stationery suite from one of my favorites - Gus and Ruby in Portsmouth, NH Wedding favor of loose leaf tea from Savannah

Jillian was in the very capable hands of Lena from Hair That Moves and Joanne from Joya Beauty. It's always a pleasure to work with these fabulous ladies! Jillian and Brendan wanted to enjoy cocktail hour with their friends and family so they chose to do a first look and take all of the wedding party and family pictures before the ceremony. Smart move - I wouldn't have wanted to miss the signature "Hummingbird" champagne drinks and delicious hors d'oeuvres either!

We were joined by the wedding party for relaxed pictures in the fields. Now would also be a very good time to shout out to Les Fleurs in Andover, MA. Their Director of Weddings & Events, Kerianne, worked tirelessly with the team to make Jillian's vision a reality. Obviously, these bouquets are beautiful, but just wait until you see the wedding arbor, the greenery in the chandeliers, the roses on the farm wheel, the centerpieces and more! Bridesmaids dresses were BHLDN.

We took some time for portraits too, Jillian and Brendan were just so excited to be getting married! Wedding pictures at The Barn at Gibbet Hill, bride and groom kissing in field with cows

Jillian & Brendan's families were so happy for them, love this image of Jillian's father seeing her in her wedding dress for the first time

The Barn at Gibbet Hill has rolling fields for your summer/fall ceremony and/or the beautiful cozy barn for your winter wedding ceremony, such a beautiful New England wedding venue!

I'll let the wedding pictures speak for themselves, other than mentioning how great Justice of the Peace, Priscilla Geaney was, and thanking the always amazing Audrey (the images of Brendan are hers and Lindsay for the balcony images and some of the reception details coming up!)

Guests made their way up the stone steps to enjoy cocktail hour out on the deck:

It was pretty fun to see the "wow" expressions on guest's faces as they picked up their beautifully calligraphed escort cards and entered the barn for dinner. I also really loved the attention to detail in the Konditor Meister wedding cake petals that mimicked the petals on Jillian's wedding dress (from Christina's in Andover, MA). What's better than a beautiful New England wedding? A beautiful New England wedding with a GRILLED CHEESE FOOD TRUCK!!! Yes, Jillian and Brendan surprised their guests with late night gourmet snacks from the amazing Roxy's Grilled Cheese.

Jillian & Brendan, congratulations! Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer! I hope you've enjoyed this handful of favorite images, I can't wait for you to see the rest!
