Taj Boston Wedding Photographer :: Kara + Brett

Happy Labor Day! Are you having a great day? On the beach? By the lake? Having a cook out? Why not take a break and check out Kara & Brett's Taj Boston wedding pictures?

Kara and the girls were getting hair and make up done in the Newbury suite.

Audrey started her day photographing Brett and the guys were up in the Club Lounge

Love the reaction of Kara's father Don on seeing her in her wedding dress:

Why not make sure that you're ready with enough time to have a little champagne toast with your bridesmaids?

Kara and Brett wanted to spend as much time as possible with their friends and family, not to mention enjoying champagne and hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour so they wisely chose to do a first look and take all the formal pictures before their ceremony.

It's such a pleasure to photograph a couple as happy as Kara and Brett :)

We were joined by the wedding party:

Happy family portraits. Another advantage to taking pictures before the ceremony is that hair and make up is fresh! The ceremony would take place in the Arlington St church and it was hot! hot! hot!

The location of the Taj Boston really couldn't be more perfect. You have the beautiful Boston Public Gardens literally across the street and there are multiple historic Boston churches in the vicinity. There's something kind of awesome about being able to walk to your wedding:

Kara & Brett were married at the Arlington Street Church and it was a pleasure to work with Justice of the Peace Carol Merletti again. It can get pretty hot inside the church and so Kara and Brett had thoughtfully made their programs in the form of fans.

The ceremony was short yet very sweet and Kara and Brett both had the biggest smiles as they walked back down the aisle together.

Married!!!

Back at the Taj, it was time for cocktail hour:

Guests made their way into the grand ballroom for the wedding reception. Now would be a good time to mention Emily and the whole team at Taj Boston, everything was flawless and the attention to detail is amazing.

The newlyweds made their grand entrance and went straight into their first dance:

The toasts were particularly excellent with Kara's father welcoming everyone and sharing how emotional it had been to walk Kara down the aisle

Kara danced with her father, and Brett danced with his mother.

We popped outside for a couple of minutes at twilight:

Once back inside, all guests were asked to get on the dancefloor for a group picture (helpful tip, if you'd like to do something like this at your wedding I need access to a balcony and you should be prepared for it to take at least 15 minutes to get everyone up out of their seats and into position!)

The dancefloor was declared well and truly open and was packed all night!

Kara & Brett - congratulations!!! Thank you for choosing me as your Taj Boston Wedding Photographer! It was a pleasure getting to know you both and your families (especially Kara's mom Kathy who worked tirelessly planning everything!). Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, health and happiness!

And with that, I'm off to spend an hour in the hammock...
