Seaport Hotel :: Boston Wedding Photographer :: Danielle + Kevin (Part I)

Hello! Did you miss me? I took three days off from blogging to move my home office from generally being all over the house to a dedicated area overlooking the garden. I was hard at work wielding the power drill and hammer; my new desk and filing cabinets were looking pretty darn good until I tried to move them and realised I had completely messed up the CAM screws and everything fell apart. Luckily Paul came to the rescue after he finished laughing at my home improvement efforts.

First of all I need to announce the winner of the competition I held for captions for Lunda & Jonathan's cake cutting pictures **here**. Amazing and funny entries from Neeta, Rich, Tracy, Renee, Meg, KT and Rebecca - thank you ladies! - but I think the prize has to go to Lunda herself as obviously she knew what she was thinking and it was also pretty hilarious "if you shove that cake into my face I will stab you with a fork" :)

And now, welcome to part I of a III part blog series of Danielle & Kevin's wedding that took place last week. I'll be sharing lots of beautiful pictures of their first look which took place in the Winter Garden, their ceremony at the architecturally beautifulGate of Heaven Church in South Boston and the wedding reception at the Exchange Conference Center with a gorgeous cocktail hour taking place on the patio overlooking Boston Waterfront. We'll start at the Seaport hotel where all of the getting ready preparations were happening. It was a PERFECT day, the kind of August day you dream about:

Those of you who read my ramblings on a regular basis will be fully aware of my love of shoes. In fact, I think other than twinkly lights/uplighting/votive candles at a reception, there is nothing that makes me happier than a bride choosing to wear fabulous shoes on her wedding day:

Today's pictures are just a tiny preview as Danielle & Kevin are just returning back from their honeymoon in Grand Cayman. Coming up will be their first look pictures, the ceremony, the surprise guest at the wedding reception and much more....

I'll leave you with one last picture. Kaitlyn is Danielle's daughter and she was a most excellent flower girl. We had a lot of fun hanging out and I'm excited for our family shoot in the fall:
