Old State House Wedding :: Boston, MA :: Kate + Chris (Part III)

And we're back at the wedding of Kate & Chris at the Old State House in Boston. Did you miss part I **here** or part II **here**?

Not only is the Old State House a wonderful historic choice of wedding venue in Boston, if you get married here, you get the option to sneak out onto the balcony for pictures...

I wanted to show off the back of Kate's wedding dress and we couldn't resist standing Chris next to the John Hancock clothing display, notice any similarities?

The Old State House was the perfect historic Boston venue for Kate & Chris's wedding reception. The crisp white tableclothes and brown wooden chiavari chairs provided a beautiful backdrop for the fall accented napkins and tiny little pumpkins lined up perfectly by Tracy Dapp who was the day-of-coordinator:

Kate and Chris entered the room as the new Mr & Mrs Wann and visited each table to do "cheers!" with their oversized Sam Adams beer mugs and their guests. Most fun!

In the English tradition...in fact, remind me one day to do a blog post on the difference of English weddings vs. American weddings...there were speeches rather than toasts. Chris led the speeches first paying tribute to the armed forces of both the UK and the US which I thought was a beautiful gesture. Chris thanked all his and Kate's parents and brothers and then spoke most eloquently of how he'd been living for his whole life but hadn't really feltalive until he met Kate. Cue tears:

A quiet moment during the first dance:

And some super cute moments of Kate dancing with her father:

So I really REALLY liked this fall wedding cake. Simple and colorful yet still very elegant

And I don't think it would have been physically possible for Chris to get closer to his wife during the cake cutting :)

The night carried on with much singing and dancing and laughing and celebrating with friends and family:

Kate & Chris - thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer. I had a lot of fun shooting you both at Jamaica Plain and then your fabulous rehearsal party at Lucky's and then your wedding. Good times indeed! Wishing you years and years of happiness together.
