Quintessential Boston Wedding Pictures at St Ignatius + The Fairmont Copley Plaza :: Beth + Jeremy

Happy Thanksgiving Eve! Is that a thing or did I make that up? The snow is falling heavily here and I really need to start cooking but first I have the most marvelous wedding to share with you.

If there was some kind of picture glossary of all of the different wedding styles out there and if you happened to look up "Classic & Elegant Boston Wedding" then you should totally expect to find Beth  and Jeremy's wedding pictures top of this category. From the historic location of the Fairmont Copley Plaza for the wedding reception to St Ignatius at Boston College for the wedding ceremony it was the ultimate Boston wedding. But I'm getting ahead of myself…let's start at the beginning in the Fairmont Copley suite where Beth and the girls were getting ready. I photographed all sorts of beautiful wedding details:

Adored the wedding stationery from Judy Palen Designs at Bloomingdales - check out the envelope liner featuring a custom map of Boston!

Beth had some of my very very very favorite talented wedding industry people working at her wedding including Dani Wagener for make up, Erik Howard for hair,  the always fabulous Long Haul Films for video - can't wait to see the trailer, Rentals Unlimited and Boston Uplights.

Audrey started her day over with Jeremy and the guys in their suite:

Beth and Jeremy both attended Boston College (check out the story of how they met **here**) so Jeremy's cufflinks were particularly appropriate:

Jeremy showing off his bow-tying skills:

Beth and Jeremy had exchanged letters and I love this silhouette that Audrey took of Jeremy reading his letter from Beth:

Meanwhile it was time for Beth to get into THE MOST AMAZING VERA WANG DRESS EVER. Hello Vera - we meet again!

With the exception of Jeremy's best man Andrew, Beth & Jeremy's wedding party was made up of family members. Beth was helped into her dress by her mother Ann, sister Kath, sister-in-law Courtney and Jeremy's twin sister Marsia.

Beth's mother had "something blue" sewn into Beth's wedding dress:

One of the top ten wedding dresses I've ever had the fun of photographing:

Beth's father Tom seeing her for the first time:

Is this one of the cutest flower girls ever? Wait until you see her sister!

Beth gave all of her bridesmaids beautiful Kate Spade clutches and these rather fabulous necklaces. The dresses are from Bella Bridesmaid in NYC:

Beth read her letter from Jeremy, if you look closely you'll see a perfect tear falling :)

Jeremy was about to leave when he was surprised with the delivery of a gift from Beth in the form of a watch. Happy Jeremy (Hugo Boss Tux with Armani shirt should you wish to try to look as sharp as Jeremy).

Beth and Jeremy wisely chose to do a first look so that:
a) They'd have a little alone time to see each other/hug/laugh/talk (which you can't do when you're 12 inches away from a priest at the top of the aisle!)
b) They'd get to maximize their time with friends and family at cocktail hour (it sucks to do formals when everyone else is having a blast and drinking champagne)
c) They'd have time and daylight for relaxed pictures with their wedding party and families. If you're getting married in the fall/winter or having a later ceremony it's good to check what time the sun will set!

We made our way to the Boston College campus for the first look outside Bapst Library:

This is Audrey's view:

I took some pictures of Beth and her bridesmaids, then Jeremy and his groomsmen. Stunning bouquets by Dave Eng's Flowers.

I could have photographed Beth and Jeremy all day but we took a break to take some relaxed yet totally mantel-worthy family pictures:

Cutest flower girls and ring bearer awards in the mail!

Beth and Jeremy's families couldn't have been more welcoming, such a great bunch of people!

We then walked the short distance to St Ignatius of Loyola for the wedding ceremony:

Thanks to the talented Jamie who joined us for the ceremony and then left a little ahead of us to capture the escort cards before they were snatched up by arriving guests!

Beth and Jeremy incorporated their live of travel with their escort cards, table names, a map of the world for guests to sign and baggage claim cookie favors!

Guests enjoyed music and cocktails and food and Beth & Jeremy took a moment to check out the Grand Ballroom before everyone else!

The Grand Ballroom of the Fairmont Copley is just spectacular and made for a most fitting backdrop to Beth & Jeremy's first dance as husband and wife. Lyndsay and the whole Fairmont Copley team couldn't have been more accommodating, professional and amazing to work with:

Beth's father welcomed everyone and was joined by Beth's mom in a blatant breach of spreadsheet rules ;) Best man Andrew and MOH/sister Kath shared all sorts of funny stories and advice before raising a toast to 'The Bixigans!'

Beth danced with Tom and then Jeremy danced with his mother Gale:

The dance floor was packed, Beth & Jeremy thoughtfully arranged all sorts of late night 'Fenway Favorites' to keep energy levels high!

We took a few minutes away from the party for night time pictures in Copley Sq

Beth & Jeremy - what a spectacular day!!! It's been such a pleasure getting to know you both. It's snowing right now and I'm reminded of our day in the freezing cold in Kennebunkport - so glad the rain held off for pictures on your wedding day!!! Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, health, happiness and lots of amazing travel adventures together!
