Boston City Hall Wedding Photographer :: Lan + Kevin
Friday, December 11, 2015
On a chilly Tuesday morning I met up with Lan and Kevin to photograph their Boston City Hall wedding ceremony. I absolutely adore being a Boston City Hall wedding photographer - the ceremony is so intimate and there are usually just a couple of family members or friends in attendance - the pictures I take are often the main way that the couple will share the news with everyone.

Lan and Kevin checked in at the desk and then waited for their names to be called:
Once in the city clerk's office (Maureen Feeney, who conducts each wedding in such a personal and thoughtful way), each couple does a little paperwork before the ceremony starts. I like how Lan and Kevin kept a tight hold of each others hands:
Wedding ceremonies at Boston City Hall are short and sweet but you'd be amazed how emotional it can get saying those time-honored vows:
Married!
After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their friends were just about to get into their cars when a very lovely Boston Police Sergeant kindly joined in for a picture:
I rode in the front seat of the car and in between the giggles, comparing wedding rings and little kisses there was this sweet little moment:
We stopped by the iconic Boston Public Library for a few pictures:
Trinity Church is also a beautiful location in Copley Square:
Lan and Kevin had a reservation at the always-impeccable L'Espalier restaurant to celebrate their wedding with delicious food and champagne toasts:
Lan & Kevin - thank you for trusting me as your Boston City Hall wedding photographer. It has been a pleasure getting to know you both and an honor to photograph you. Thank you for insisting I join you in a glass of champagne after your wedding! Wishing you a life of love, laughter, health and happiness together!
