Wedding Photos at Hidden Pond, Kennebunkport, Maine :: Sarah + Jerry

I think you'd be hard-pressed to find a Maine wedding venue as idyllic as Hidden Pond in Kennebunkport, Maine. Think luxury cottages in birch forests (one up from glamping), antique bicycles, heated pool, farm to table cuisine, an adorable potting shed for a private dinner, yoga, beach days - are you booking your 2018 vacation yet?!?! And if you should choose to get married here, imagine your outdoor wedding ceremony surrounded by trees, dinner under the stars, dancing in the barn and so much more. If you missed part I of Sarah & Jerry's wedding celebrations, you should check it all out here. And now, onto part II!

Sarah and the girls were getting ready in Hunkie Dory cottage...

...and Jerry and the guys were in On The Rocks cottage, photographed by Audrey.

Sarah's proud parents were so excited to see her in her wedding dress:

Sarah and Jerry chose to do a first look. Not only did they get time alone on such a busy day, but we also took all of the portraits with their wedding party and families at this time meaning they would be free to enjoy all of the deliciousness at cocktail hour, not to mention more time with guests. I loved their reactions to seeing each other for the first time:

We took some relaxed yet totally mantel-worthy family pictures:

We were then joined by the wedding party.

The bouquets were by Mika Flowers and just wait until you see the flowers in the tent:

Special thanks to my friend and talented photographer Alex who photographed alongside me and Audrey for the day. The image on the left is Alex's:

The outdoor Maine ceremony took place on the beautiful grounds of Hidden Pond. Harry, a close friend of Sarah & Jerry's, performed the ceremony.

Happy Newlyweds! Whenever I can remember, I try to remind all of my couples to really enjoy their walk back down the aisle, you only get to do it once! Don't rush or race, but take your time to look around and take in all of the friends and family members who are there for you. And of course, if you choose to have an unplugged ceremony, you get to see their smiling faces vs. the back of cell phones!

Guests walked through the tall whispering pine trees to find their escort cards and feast on cheese and charcuterie and oysters and lobster tail and champagne. Are you hungry yet?

The Leavitt & Parris tent gave the feeling of being completely immersed in the forest of Maine, the view was especially beautiful as the sun went down and the sky transitioned to twilight blue. Now would also be a good time to mention wedding planner extraordinaire Linnea Tangorra. It's always an absolute pleasure working with Linnea and her team, everything runs so smoothly. If you're planning your 2018 wedding and getting a little overwhelmed, or you just want to enjoy your day and not have to deal with calling trolleys and making sure the escort cards are set up - hire Linnea or Tracy asap! Glass tent in Maine forest wedding

George, Sarah's father, welcomed everyone and then Sarah's sister and maid of honor Charlotte, and best man Kyle made toasts. Tales of Sarah and Jerry's pull-up challenges (Sarah won) had everyone laughing.

Hmmm, wedding cake or pie? Sarah and Jerry couldn't quite decide so they did both. After cutting the beautiful cake, guests made their way to the barn where the tables were laden with all sorts of pies and ice cream.

Sarah and Jerry were announced and went straight into their first dance as husband and wife:

Sarah danced with her father, George:

Jerry danced with his mother, Virginia:

Soho (definitely in my top three list of New England wedding bands) kept the dancefloor packed.

Sparklers may be illegal in Massachusetts but not in Maine! What a perfect end to a perfect day!!!

Sarah & Jerry - thank you for choosing me as your Kennebunkport Maine wedding photographer. It's been so much fun getting to know you both (and your families), over a beer in Bridgton to island hiking and boat rides culminating in this amazing celebration. Wishing you a long and happy life together (with lots of hikes all over the world!).

Next up, we'll be leaving the beautiful state of Maine and making our way down to the tiny state of RI for Kaylee & Casey's Belle Mer wedding in Newport, RI!
