Winter Wedding in Boston :: Seaport Winter Garden + Mistral Restaurant :: Rebecca + David a.k.a Becky + Duke

I first met Becky in the Marriott Copley over coffee to discuss her wedding plans. Becky had heard about me from her friend Alison who was one of my all-time favorite brides.

Becky described her wedding to Duke as being "a dinner party on steroids" and I crossed my fingers that I'd get to document the day. When I got to meet Duke **here** and saw what a perfectly fun couple he and Becky made, I couldn't wait for their Boston Winter Wedding.

I like to arrive early for each wedding so I can get all of the getting ready pictures and the details that help set the scene in the wedding album. It seems somehow wrong to ask newlyweds to take off their wedding rings so I like to take these pictures before:

Becky's purse was her something blue...

Hello Manolo! Seriously! Gold + Glitter + Sparkles + Heels + Manolo = Leah in shoe heaven. On the left of the image are the beautiful earrings that Duke gave to Becky as a wedding gift:

I love the anticipation in the air on a wedding day, Becky had a super-duper well planned out timeline (she may well be my most organized bride ever) and there was time after hair and make up for Becky and her sisters Betsy and Stephanie and her best friend Tara to relax for a moment:

Becky's dress was from the wonderful L'Elite Bridal Boutique and hung on a custom silver hanger with her new name:

As I'm sure you can imagine, over the last four years I've met an awful lot of make up artists. Meredith Waite from MiniLuxe on Newbury St (contact Meredith at yayamary04@yahoo.com or 617 504 1920) definitely joins my list of Top 5 make up artists (I sense a future blog post on this topic).

See?! Ummm, how to describe Becky? Radiant? Elegant? Stunning? All of the above...

Becky's parents seeing her in her gown for the first time:

Tom, Becky's dad, shook his head and asked with a chuckle "How many hands does it take to put on a veil?"

And those 16 preview pictures are all for today...I think we'll have the first look tomorrow, the ceremony on Thursday and the reception on Friday. Sound good? Oh, one last one, how about the flowers by the always wonderful Winston Flowers (also in my Top 5 list of florists):
Feel free to say hello, congratulate Becky and Duke, tell me how many inches of snow you have in the comments...
