The Barn at Gibbet Hill Wedding Photographer :: Groton, MA :: Katie + Donnie (Part II)

Katie and Donnie and their friends and family know how to party. And that's all I have to say about that. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! But first - if you missed their ceremony you should click **here** to catch up and then comes straight back for part II.

We're at the beautiful wedding venue of The Barn at Gibbet Hill in Groton, MA. If you're looking for an elegantly rustic barn wedding venue outside of Boston for up to 225 guests then you need to visit! Deirdre and the team were fabulous!

We wandered along the rolling green pasture to the spot for some very relaxed and fun family pictures:

Katie and her bridesmaids:

So it's time for the pictures of the guys and Donnie's was very specific that he didn't want any "formal stuff" so I let them do their thing:

Not to be outdone in craziness, I look over to see the girls pulling their shoes off and start jumping. I don't ask wedding parties to jump as feelings are quite polarized over jumping. One couple had a clause in the contract forbidding any jumping pictures and then other groups are all "Can we jump now? When's the jumping?" :) Go Amy go!

I love this one. Donnie is incredibly sweet with Katie :)

Nothing worse than a lost guest. Signs take away this risk:

The barn is just stunning, there's the main floor and then mezzanine areas for larger weddings:

Gibbet Hill just started offering tiny pots of jam which make for a wonderful barn wedding favor:

First dance. And Katie's parents watching:

Toasts and parent dances:

Cake from Konditor Meister:

Peter from Nuimage had the dancefloor packed along with all sorts of crazy lights on the dancefloor:

When you're dancing this hard it's good to break for a warm-from-the-oven cookie and glass of cold mik:

So you have the energy to keep going:

One last picture of the newlyweds:

Katie & Donnie - your wedding was crazy fun. From the martini-fueled engagement session with an impromptu stop at the firestation, to meeting Achilles, to seeing the two of you so incredibly happy - it's been a blast! Thank you for choosing me as your wedding photographer!
