Kennebunkport, Maine Wedding Photographer :: Pier 77 Restaurant :: Lauren + Dave (Part III)

Lauren and Dave had a beautiful outdoor wedding ceremony on the ocean at St Ann's Church in Kennebunkport, Maine. If you missed their wedding pictures you can see them **here** and the super cute first look **here**

When you're wearing a wedding dress you need a little more room than usual and so on the trolley to the wedding reception at Pier 77 Lauren and Dave sat separately but still together ;)

Pier 77 is a beautiful intimate Maine wedding venue with stunning views of the Cape Porpoise harbor and fishing boats (side note, the team were lovely and the food was super yummy):

You didn't think I'd pass up these blue walls and buoys?

Very elegant and simple setting:

What's that? You want more wedding pictures with buoys?

Lauren & Dave had been practicing for their first dance! As their guests cheered and clapped, someone yelled out "Oooh, fancy dancy Yanceys!" which made me laugh pretty hard:

Thoughtful and emotional toasts:

Sweet parent dances:

OK, what song is playing here? Leave your guess in the comments and I'll pick a random correct answer winner who get's an 8x10 print of their choice...

Both Lauren & Dave's families were so welcoming. Kathleen (Lauren's Mom) sent me a little note on facebook yesterday to tell me how much she was enjoying all of the pictures and then told me that at her wedding to Lauren's dad Bob 32 years ago their photographer got drunk and they don't have any pictures. Now I like a glass of wine as much as the next person but NEVER when I'm working at a wedding. So here's two little pictures of Bob & Kathleen to make up for the naughty drunk photographers out there.

The dancefloor was packed, the cigars were being lit outside in the garden and it was a generally fabulous celebration!

One last one of the newlyweds:

Lauren & Dave - from that first skype call I was beyond excited for your Maine destination wedding. You were both so laid back and easy to work with and I hope you love the pictures as much as I do. Now you need to set a date for the two of you with a nice bottle of champagne to go through your complete gallery because there are lot's more on the way! Wishing you a lifetime of love, laughter, happiness and vacations in Maine. Let me know when you're back....
And the blog schedule for those interested...next up Katie & Donnie at the Barn at Gibbet Hill, a cute beach engagement shoot with Liz & Tim, Katie & John's wedding at Wollaston Golf Club, Georgette & Brett's family shoot, Jessica & Mark's wedding at the State Room and then Eunis & Jeff's wedding at the Fairmont Copley which I'm photographing on Sunday....

  1. I know the answer to the song! Single Ladies... One of Lauren's favorites :) She can't dance to it anymore though! Leah, I love the pictures! I totally will have to plan when my wedding will be someday around when you are available :)

  2. Leah! Gorgeous photographs!! Such elegance! And Lauren and Dave and family look so incredibly happy! Loved the outdoor ceremony, too. I'm gonna guess at the song... since you asked... "Single Ladies." Looks like there's some ring pointing and I can't think of anything else... but it looks like the dance floor was rocking. :) Can't wait for the next set of wedding photos and all the great stuff coming up on the blog!
