Taj Boston Wedding Pictures :: Toby + Jesse

Happy Friday! Do you have lovely plans? I'll be photographing my third-to-last wedding of 2014 tomorrow! Would you like to enjoy an elegant Jewish wedding at the Taj Boston this afternoon? Why not pour yourself something lovely and settle in...
Invitations by Toby Dondis:

Toby and Jesse had welcome bags waiting for their guests on check-in, I saw the little bags of Hershey kisses and thought they might make a good home for the wedding rings

Toby's adorable sparkly flats from Christian Louboutin:

Hair and make up was underway in the bridal suite:

Flowergirl Tess even had a little hair curling

Audrey photographed Jesse and the groomsmen:

With hair and make up finished it was time to get dressed...

...this was one of my favorite moments. Toby picked up a large pair of scissors to snip off the hanger loops on her dress. Toby's mom Chana was a little concerned until Toby laughingly pointed out that she routinely puts IVs in patients so she could definitely handle scissors :)

Proud and happy parents seeing Toby in her beautiful Marc Ingram wedding gown:

Toby thanked her bridemsmaids and toasted with a glass of champagne...

...meanwhile Jesse had a single malt scotch in the bar with the guys (bespoke tuxedo by Ian Kors)

Toby and Jesse chose to see each other and take pictures prior to their ceremony. The Taj is perfectly located opposite the beautiful Public Gardens (if you plan on taking any kind of wedding pictures here you must, must, must get a permit!)

I can't decide who was happier to see who! :)

We took a little walk around the public gardens even braving the tourists on the bridge over the swan boats:

We were joined by Toby and Jesse's rather fabulous wedding party:

The heat and humidity was getting a little too much so we took family pictures in the cool air conditioning of the Taj Boston:

Toby and Jesse signed their Ketubah and read out parts of it to their family and friends vowing to always keep a welcoming home full of love and continual learning together.

Audrey and I were joined by the talented Jamison Wexler for part of the day, he photographed this set up of the main ballroom. The ceremony images from the balcony are also Jamie's.

Guests were offered their choice of Red Sox or Yankee yarmulke!

Jesse had a huge smile on his face as Toby walked down the aisle

Toby circled Jesse seven times with a little help from sister-in-law Abby with the train on her dress!

Mazel tov!

Family and friends relaxed with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres:

Guests picked up their escort cards and headed into the Grand Ballroom which looked beautiful with the flowers from Les Fleurs

Taj Boston always make the most beautiful wedding cake masterpieces!

The newlyweds entered in style and went straight into their first dance "Into the mystic"

And then the hora started up in earnest!

This one is Audrey's image:

Both sets of parents spoke so warmly of their respective children:

Beantown absolutely rocked it on the dance floor. I've seen them in action a number of times and they're a phenomenal wedding band!

Loving these adorable little favors

Toby & Jesse - wow! What a day! From our shoots in Boston and then Maine and then to your fabulous wedding day - it's been such a pleasure! Thank you for trusting me to document your day! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!

Taj Boston is one of the very best wedding venues in Boston. Courtney Caterino and the whole Taj team couldn't be more amazing to work with - attention to detail is second to none and their care for guests is obvious to see. If you're considering the Taj for your wedding don't hesitate! The location is amazing (hello perfect gardens just seconds across the street), the rooms are fabulous, it's a classic Boston venue and you'll be so well taken care of!
