We met up in the North End for engagement pictures. It was a weirdly sunny yet windy and quite chilly day but the light was beautiful:
I photographed a wedding at this church last year and the weird leaf wallpaper always intrigued me:
The North End is a pretty cool place to take engagement pictures, it's busy (so not ideal if you're shy) but there are lots of interesting little areas and places to visit not to mention the whole area smells delicious. Like the best garlic-y pasta you've ever eaten.
After a quick outfit change (top tip - don't bring your change of clothes with you in a large bag, it will be a pain to carry/put down for pictures, leave your clothes hanging in your car (parked about half way along our route or ask the concierge/bellman at a local hotel if they'll hold them for an hour and tip them nicely!) we headed over to Christopher Columbus park where the lilac was out in force:
We took a break for a glass of wine at the Fairmont Battery Wharf (their bartenders are so friendly and awesome) and ran through the wedding day plans and timeline:
I think we might have been by the water at the back of a parking lot here which proves the point that your engagement session doesn't have to be a tour of every well known picture spot in the city :)
One last picture and I will leave you to enjoy your weekends. What do you have planned? Me? I have 2 weekends left before wedding season kicks off so I'm planning a trip to the farmers market before Paul gets back home this afternoon. We might do a little kayaking and cook on the grill.
