A few weeks ago I had a lovely surprise in my in-box. An email from Melanie Brooks, the editor at Real Maine Weddings, asking if I would answer some questions for an interview on the Real Maine Wedding blog. Heck, yes!!!

This morning, I had another surprise when I saw that the feature was posted:

Click **HERE** for the full feature.

Real Maine Weddings is the only Maine-focused wedding magazine in the state of Maine, featuring Maine photographers, vendors, and events exclusively. The magazine is totally worth picking up and the blog is a must-read if you're planning a Maine wedding. You'll find all sorts of tips about having your wedding in Maine, venue recommendations and vendor information.

Regular readers will know that we bought a home in Maine last summer and there's something so special about Maine. I cross the state line from NH to ME and can't help but sigh with happiness. Our home is literally 3 minutes away from the AMAZING Migis Lodge (which you MUST check out if you're looking for a rustic yet elegant camp wedding in Maine and then get in touch with me to be your photographer!)

Here are just a few favorites of the Maine weddings and engagements I've photographed over the last few years:
Beautiful elopement at Nubble Light, York, ME **here** and **here**
Rustic Maine camp wedding at Migis Lodge on Lake Sebago **here**
Ocean-front outdoor church ceremony at St Ann's and Pier 77, Kennebunkport, ME **here** and **here**
Engagement Pictures in Casco and Portland, ME **here**
Engagement Pictures in Ogunquit, Maine **here**
Engagement Pictures in Kennebunkport **here**
And you MUST check out these day-after-the-wedding pictures I took on a row boat on Thomas Pond in Casco, ME **here**

In fact, post your comments below about your FAVORITE thing about Maine and I'll pick one at random to receive a copy of Real Maine Weddings magazine. And....go!

  1. I'll start! Raymond's Frozen Custard in Naples, ME is all kinds of amazing and possibly the best ice cream I've ever eaten.

  2. Leah! Congrats on your feature! I'm still perusing your blog from time to time - more than a year later. It's fun to see the weddings from this year.
Dave and I would certainly vote for Duck Fat restaurant in Portland. Delicious fries, beignets and milkshakes. Yum! And part of our first anniversary trip!
