Maternity Pictures on the Beach :: Kerianne + Adam

Good morning! Let's switch it up from all of the wedding and engagement pictures I've been sharing with you. Today I have a great couple for you - Kerianne and Adam - and a baby bump!

Some of you will likely recognize Kerianne as part of the super talented team at Les Fleurs in Andover, MA - one of my very favorite flower designers. If you're in the Andover, MA area you have to stop by - they have the most BEAUTIFUL arrangements and plants and things for your home in the store. Kerianne asked me if I could recommend a photographer to take some maternity pictures and whilst I usually stick to weddings and engagements I couldn't say no. Kerianne and the whole Les Fleurs team have been SO wonderful to work with at so many weddings - from bringing all the flowers in a day early to avoid the traffic ban in the blizzard to making up a perfect little bouquet for an out-of-town couple eloping in Boston - that I was happy to do a mini maternity shoot!

Kerianne and Adam actually met in high school and were friends growing up. Adam smiled as he told me Kerianne was his first kiss. Life took them in different directions and they lost touch for a while.

Kerianne made this beautiful flower crown:

And I figured I'd play with my tilt-shift lens:

More recently Adam was on vacation at the lake when Kerianne texted him. He was delighted to hear from her and called her immediately. They made plans to meet up and boom - now they're engaged and having a baby!

Kerianne & Adam - hope you like these! Can't wait to meet your new baby!

Newburyport Family Photographer :: Danielle + Kevin

It feels like it was only last year that Danielle & Kevin were married and had the most amazing reception at The Exchange Center in Boston (with a performance by Rene Rancourt no less!) but it was actually the summer of 2010!

Kaitlyn who was a little flower girl has now shot up in height and been joined by baby sister Dehlia so I was delighted to hear from Danielle & Kevin and to do some family pictures on the beach for them

Kaitlyn only has to look at Dehlia for her to start reaching for her hair and giggling:
Dehlia played with the sand (and may have tried to eat a little):
There are weird photoshop actions out there that people use to make babies eye "pop" with color. I promise you I didn't use any here!
Kevin isn't the biggest fan of having his picture taken so he wandered off to the ocean with Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn - I can't believe how much you've grown up in the last 3 years!
These two are like twinsies with their freckles!
Kevin showing Dehlia the ocean or maybe just dodging the camera again ;)
Danielle and her girls
There's always time to play on the swings right?
I made Danielle & Kevin stop for a picture of just the two of them...
...before noticing the most beautiful light in the playground. This was the last image of the night
Danielle & Kevin (and Kaitlyn and Dehlia!) - it was so great to see you all again and to meet the new addition to your happy family! I'll be taking you up on your invitation to "pop in" to say hello next time I'm in Andover! I hope you like this handful of favorites - lots more on the way!

Newburyport Family Photographer :: Caitlin + Matt + Avery

Waaaaaay back in 2009 Caitlin & Matt were married in Rockport, MA and I got to photograph the whole wonderful day. In case you weren't reading back in 2009 (what were you doing?) then here's Matt & Caitlin out on the rocks (it was freezing, I could barely feel my fingers to press the shutter button on the camera) but Caitlin was a trooper in her wedding dress!

In 2010 Caitlin & Matt had a baby! And in 2011 I got to photograph said baby :) So here's Caitlin & Matt today with baby Avery:

I'm no baby expert, but Avery is the happiest smiliest little baby ever. Caitlin would plop her down somewhere and she'd giggle and laugh on cue into the camera. Awesome:

Baby feet are pretty cute, especially when you get a sense of how little they are next to Mom & Dad:

There was some extreme kite flying going on that day and it proved most interesting for Avery:

A rare quiet moment. I spend $$$ on Latisse to get eyelashes like Avery's:

We sat in the grass for a little while and Avery happily played with a flower, that is until she decided to try to eat it:

The sun was starting to do down and although Avery had been very patient for the last hour she was starting to get tired:

So we headed back to the cars, I like this one to end on:

Caitlin & Matt - it was SO great to see you both again and to meet Avery! She's adorable and I hope you like these preview pictures. Your full gallery is on the way....
